We are alive and well!

I know, I know! I haven't posted in, oh, two months. I have LOTS to catch up on here. I've been busy having lots of fun with Brielle though! She is growing so fast! Her little personality is coming out and she's is so much fun! I have lots of pictures to share so there may be a few posts of just pictures in the near future.

Here is a quick run down of the happenings

- Brielle will be 3 months on Sunday. THREE MONTHS!! Holy cow!
- Brielle is a sleeping champ! She goes to bed by 9pm and sleeps till just before 8am. Sometimes she wakes up for a little reassurance but a little pat on her tummy and she's good. We are VERY lucky parents.
- Brielle loves to talk! She babbles and jabbers all the time. She can say "oooo", "ahhh" and "ohhhh". "Oh" is her favorite!
- Brielle thinks she is the funniest girl ever. She cracks herself up all the time!
- Brielle is a pro at sitting up! She loves to spend time in her Bumbo checking out the cats and Kita.
- Bri is up to 5 ounces of formula. Sometimes feedings can take forever because she's is so interested in looking at everything!
- Brielle is a little social butterfly. She always has a smile for the people she knows and new people too.
- The reflux is under control. A month ago we switched formulas again. So far so good with that. We're hoping she's getting to the point where she's about to grow out of needing the Zantac.
- Brielle's room is done!! FINALLY!

Well I think that's all for now. Be on the lookout for one month pictures, two month pictures, Easter pictures and more!

A week of goodness

Wow! What a week! Things are really starting to take shape in our house.

Brielle's reflux is so much better! It's almost like she's a completely different baby. No more random puking! YAY! She still fusses a bit from gas but it's not that bad at all. Not enough to complain about that's for sure.

Bri is also eating between 3 to 4 ounces at a time! I think if she keeps it up she'll be adding a third chin. I can't complain though. When she eats the 4 ounces before bed she sleeps pretty darn close to 6 hours. We're very lucky parents! I know there are a few people out there that are slightly jealous of us. LOL!

The most exciting development this week is probably minor to others. I think you have to be a parent to truly appreciate what I'm about to say. Brielle slept in her bassinet last night! YAY! She's been sleeping in her swing since coming home from the hospital. Yesterday she took 2 naps on her back and then last night was able to sleep on her back. I think now that we have the reflux under control is doesn't mind being on her back so much. If she keeps it up I'll be able to take the swing out of our bedroom and gain a little floor space!

Now that things are starting to fall into place a little more we're going to get moving on getting Brielle's room done. We're hoping to get it finished within the next two weeks or less! That means she'll be able to move into her own space and sleep in her crib. YAY! Not to mention I'll FINALLY be able to share pictures of her room with everyone. It's going to be so stinking cute! I cannot wait!

Fun with daddy (and kitties and doggies too)!

Brielle hanging out with her favorite guy, daddy!

Daddy is comfy to sleep on.

Napping with Daddy and Sierra.

Hanging out with Ella in the pack and play.

If you take too many pictures of Brielle you have to answer to her body guard, Kita.

Getting the hang of this

Things are starting to come together. Brielle is doing good with her schedule. We've managed to get plenty of sleep at our house. The gas drops are helping with Brielle's fussiness and she's still eating well.

I forgot to mention before that on Valentine's day we ventured out for dinner. It was a quick trip to one of our favorite restaurants for pizza. Brielle slept the whole time and we were able to enjoy some time out. I was happy that we didn't ruin any one's Valentine's dinner with a crying baby. Instead Brielle received a ton of attention. Everyone was amazed on how well she did for being a whopping 4 days old! She's already making mom and dad proud!

Rough!

We knew the first few days of parenthood would be rough. Boy did we learn fast how rough it can be! Sleep is a luxury that I miss already. Thank goodness for Grandma Lisa! She came over and sat with Brielle while Ben and I caught up on sleep. It's going to take a while to adjust to this new life!
